Cruises from Tokyo and Yokohama

3 cruise fares we track start in “Tokyo”. Ships serving Tokyo can use terminals in Yokohama or in Tokyo itself, so this page explains the terminals and what to check on your boarding documents.

Sailings that start in Tokyo

Soonest first.

About the prices. Each fare is cruise.com’s published “from” price per person for that sailing on the date shown. It is not a quote: cabin category, taxes, fees, flights and availability are confirmed on the cruise line’s or agent’s booking page, and opening a deal page here does not check the supplier’s price for you.

Which terminal will your ship use?

Our fare data names the city, “Tokyo”, not the terminal. The cruise line decides the terminal and may change it, so read it on your boarding documents. These are the terminals around Tokyo Bay, from the sources listed below.

TerminalWhat the source says
Osanbashi, YokohamaBerths of 450 m; nearest station Nihon-odori (Minatomirai Line), about a 5-minute walk; Haneda Airport about 30 minutes by bus, Narita about 90 minutes by bus, Tokyo Station about 40 minutes by bus or train. Ships must pass under the Yokohama Bay Bridge.[1]
Daikoku Pier, YokohamaBuilt for the largest ships that cannot pass under the Bay Bridge; the city says it can take a 220,000-gross-ton ship. Nearest stations are about 15 minutes away by taxi; Haneda about 20 minutes by taxi, Narita about 90, Tokyo Station about 50 by train and taxi.[1]
Shinko Pier, YokohamaA 340 m berth; Bashamichi station about a 10-minute walk; Haneda about 30 minutes by bus.[1]
Tokyo International Cruise Terminal, AomiOpened 10 September 2020; built outside the Rainbow Bridge, which has a 52 m air draft, so larger ships can reach it; about an 8-minute walk from the Yurikamome line station of the same name.[2]
Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal, TokyoReported in November 2025 to have reopened after reconstruction, mainly for small and mid-sized ships because it sits inland of the Rainbow Bridge.[3]

Two things we could not settle from these sources: the city’s own page gives two figures for the Yokohama Bay Bridge clearance (56 m and 55 m)[1], and the Harumi report is a trade-news item, not an official notice. Treat both as background, and confirm your terminal with the cruise line.

Practical points for the day

  • Allow for a Yokohama terminal to be roughly 30 to 90 minutes from the Tokyo airports, depending on the terminal and the airport (figures above).[1]
  • If your ship uses Daikoku Pier, the nearest stations are a taxi ride away, so plan the transfer with the cruise line or a taxi rather than a walk.[1]
