Ferries from Tallinn to Helsinki, Stockholm and Mariehamn
Which ferries leave Tallinn for Helsinki, Stockholm and Mariehamn in the Åland Islands: operators, crossing times as the booking site lists them, and when we last checked.
Tallinn's ferries cross the Gulf of Finland to Helsinki in about two hours and run overnight to Stockholm and Mariehamn. Tallink Silja Line, Viking Line and Eckerö Line serve the routes, and they run all year. Each card gives the figures as the booking site states them and says when we last checked.
How it works
Helsinki is the short crossing, about two hours at the fastest; Stockholm and Mariehamn are long crossings of roughly 9 to 16 hours.
The booking site gives two different figures for some routes, for example 15 hours 15 minutes and about 16 hours 15 minutes for Stockholm, and the Mariehamn crossing differs by direction, so check your sailing.
The Åland Islands are part of Finland, and Mariehamn is their port; the page lists no separate Åland route.
The routes cross international borders. We have not checked entry rules, so this page does not state any.
A ticket is not a guaranteed seat and sailings can change with the weather.
