Getting ashore
Ships dock at Cyril B. Romney Pier Park beside Road Town; occasional large calls tender. Taxis line up for Cane Garden Bay, Brewers Bay and Smuggler’s Cove, 20-35 minutes over steep roads.
What to do in 6-10 hours
For an easy day, share an open-air taxi to Cane Garden Bay ($12-20 each way) and add a short island viewpoint stop. For the signature day, take a pre-booked boat to The Baths on Virgin Gorda ($90-150). Road Town itself needs only an hour.
Walking level
Pier Park is flat. Beaches have sand and simple entries; island roads are steep but you ride them. The Baths requires scrambling through rocks, ladders and water - not mobility-friendly. Cane Garden Bay is the accessible choice.
Excursion or independent
Independent by taxi for Tortola beaches. Book a ship or vetted boat tour for Virgin Gorda because ferry links and return times are the risk. The full trade-off is in ship excursion or independent.
