Southeast Asia's sampler: one embarkation in Singapore, three countries, street food that justifies the flight on its own. Ships sail it year-round, and the fares per night are among the lowest in cruising.

The route at a glance

Roundtrip from Singapore, seven nights. MSC's Bellissima runs the circuit with six port stops and two sea days; the standard calls are Port Klang for Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Langkawi in Malaysia, and Phuket in Thailand. Celebrity's Millennium sails a longer nine-night "Best of Thailand and Malaysia" version. A deeper one-way alternative up the coast is in our library at Southeast Asia, Singapore to Bangkok, 12 days. Departures run year-round; November to March is drier on the Thai side.

Who this route suits

Best for food-first travelers, first-time Asia cruisers, and anyone adding a cruise to a Singapore city stay - Changi is the world's best-connected airport, and the cruise terminal is 30 minutes away. The ports suit independent wandering (Penang's Georgetown is a UNESCO-listed street-food grid). Less ideal if you want beaches every day - this is a cities-and-culture route with Phuket as the swim stop.

What it costs

MSC Bellissima's November 2026 sailing lists inside cabins from $632 per person - $90 a night, among the cheapest per-night rates we track anywhere. Onshore costs are low: hawker meals run $3-6, Grab rides a few dollars, and Penang and Langkawi need no organized tour at all. The splurge line is the Singapore hotel nights before or after.
