Getting ashore
The pier opens directly into the cruise center and beach. Chairs near the pool can be busy, but walking ten minutes south finds more space. Cockburn Town is 10 minutes by taxi.
What to do in 6-10 hours
Start with the free beach and pool. A Gibbs Cay stingray-and-snorkel boat costs $70-110; wall-diving trips cost more. For history, taxi to Cockburn Town and the lighthouse, or rent a golf cart ($80-120 per day) for a slow island loop.
Walking level
Cruise-center paths and the beach edge are flat; sand is the main barrier. Boats require steps and wet boarding. A taxi island loop is the easiest mobility option. Shade can be scarce away from the center.
Excursion or independent
Independent for beach, Cockburn Town and a taxi loop. Book a tour only for Gibbs Cay, diving or snorkeling - experiences requiring a boat. The full trade-off is in ship excursion or independent.
