The Mexican Riviera is the cheapest proper week-long cruise on the US West Coast. No international flight, three warm ports, and year-round capacity from Los Angeles create 2027 fares below most Caribbean weeks.

The essentials

Two lines set the floor. Discovery Princess sails 7-night Los Angeles round-trips on January 2, 2027 from $579 per person and March 27 from $589 - about $83 a night before taxes and fees. Carnival Panorama goes lower: an 8-night round-trip from Long Beach on February 27, 2027 is listed from $464 per person. Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas keeps the route alive in summer, with a 7-night Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan round-trip from Los Angeles on July 9, 2027. Summer costs more, but it is the option when school calendars rule.

How to read these prices

All prices are per person, double occupancy, and entry fares may exclude taxes and fees unless the source says otherwise. February and early March are the value window; spring break and July cost more. An inside cabin is sensible because Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta fill three days, but a balcony earns its keep on the two sea days.
