Ferries across the Tagus from Lisbon: Cacilhas, Seixal, Barreiro, Montijo and Trafaria

The Transtejo Soflusa river ferries from Lisbon's Cais do Sodré, Terreiro do Paço and Belém to the south bank of the Tagus: average crossing times as the operator states them, and when we last checked.

Lisbon's ferries are commuter boats across the Tagus estuary, run by the public operator Transtejo Soflusa. They leave from three terminals on the Lisbon side, so check which one your crossing uses. Each card gives the average crossing time as the operator's own timetable page states it and says when we last checked.

How it works

Cacilhas, Seixal and Montijo boats leave from Cais do Sodré; Barreiro boats from Terreiro do Paço; Trafaria and Porto Brandão boats from Belém.
Each timetable page has separate departures for weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays and public holidays.
Cais do Sodré is a short walk from the Lisbon cruise terminals along the river; the Cacilhas crossing is the shortest, at about 10 minutes.
These are working ferries, not sightseeing cruises; times can change, so check the operator's page on the day.
